A little more info…this time with video!

Things have been busy. Jason and I are on a 2 weeks tour of the East Coast saying good bye to our family and friends. We started in South Carolina and have been heading north since. We are currently in Northhampton, MA with plans to see VT before we fly home. It has been a really good trip. Taking the time to say goodbye and see people before I leave was important to me before I did it and now I’m really glad I’ve had the chance to give hugs in person.

The flip side is going to be getting home with hours of packing and shopping to do and only 2 days to do it in. Ugh.

On the other hand, we’ve continued to find other resources about Vanuatu that I can share with you. Here is a youtube video put out by the Vanuatu Toursim board, I think. It gives a whole lot of really pretty pictures and some of the cultural ceremonies. I’m not sure how much of those still exist outside of tourism, but that’s one more thing I’m looking forward to finding out.

The video was actually found by another volunteer we will be meeting in Vanuatu. We have a facebook group now. The name of the group is: Peace Corps Vanuatu: V-23. It is an open group so go dig through the discussions and see what we are all worrying about and what kind of answers we are getting from the current volunteers.

I will try to write another update about the schedule we have for our first week or so, but that means I have to read that literature myself. I haven’t gotten around to it yet.
